FAQ

We get asked this.... A lot
  • Specialty coffee is all about quality - from the farm to the cup. It’s graded 80+ points on a 100-point scale, meaning it’s carefully grown, harvested, and roasted to highlight its natural flavors (think juicy berries, rich chocolate, or sweet florals). No burnt bitterness, no masking it with syrups.

Most coffee at regular cafés? It’s often mass-produced, lower-grade beans roasted dark to hide defects, then sold to you at premium prices with fancy names. With specialty coffee, you’re tasting the bean’s true character—not just roast and milk.

  • A blend combines beans from different origins to create a specific flavor profile. It’s how we balance body, sweetness, and character in each cup.

We spent over 100 hours developing each of our blends to make sure they brew perfectly in a steeped bag. Every choice, down to the last detail, was tested, tasted, and refined to make something consistent, enjoyable, and easy to love.

  • Yes! We nitrogen flush our roasted coffee to keep it as fresh as the day it was roasted. After roasting, coffee begins to oxidize - this process dulls the flavors and aromas over time. By flushing the packaging with nitrogen, we remove most of the oxygen inside the bag, slowing down that oxidation dramatically.

Nitrogen is a food-safe, inert gas that doesn’t interact with the coffee itself. It simply creates a protective environment so the coffee stays vibrant, aromatic, and full of flavor even weeks or months after roasting. It’s the same method used by top specialty roasters around the world to lock in freshness without adding preservatives.

  • Yes. We partner with importers who work directly with producers, paying premium prices to support sustainable farming and fair livelihoods. Each coffee is fully traceable, with its origin verified through scientific methods like forensic isotope analysis. This process examines the natural chemical makeup of the beans—based on soil, climate, and geography—to confirm they truly come from the claimed origin. It’s an added layer of accountability that helps protect farmers and ensure transparency across the supply chain.

  • No, our coffee does not contain any nuts or added flavorings. When we describe tasting notes like “nuts” or “sweet candy", we’re referring to the natural flavors that develop during the roasting process. These notes are similar to the way wine has hints of fruits or spices, nothing is actually added. It’s all about the coffee’s origin, how it’s processed, and how it’s roasted.

  • Absolutely! Our steeped bags are perfect for making cold brew - no special equipment needed. Just drop a bag into a glass of cold water (about 230–250ml), cover it, and let it steep in the fridge for 12 to 24 hours. The result? A smooth, refreshing cold brew with all the flavor and none of the fuss.

Cold brew made this way is naturally sweet and low in acidity - great for hot days or an easy coffee fix on the go.

  • Yes! Our steeped coffee bags are made from plant-based, biodegradable materials that break down naturally no microplastics, no guilt. We’ve chosen this format not just for convenience, but because it’s better for the environment.

From the materials we use to the way we source and package our coffee, we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us - it’s built into how we operate, one cup at a time.
